Mission Complete. I have completed the Nvart competition and submitted. Now..to get back on my last project.
Currently cranking away at my entrant for the Nvart competition over at Cg society. Despite the deadline, I’m taking my time and try not rush. Rushing at this point leads to mistakes. Smart design. I still have all day tomorrow, but I work..art here art there.
No time to blog details…I’m rushing. But I will upload renders as I go.
Err Painting in Photoshop. This is the hard part.
Yay I just completed 50% of the image. So lets go through the process so far. I regressed, re concepted the idea of the horse as a vehicle…but there was something missing..that point in time memorable scene. I’m taking a page from Norman Rockwell, a wholesome scene.
I have entered the prefinal stages for the models…at the same time started to test a style I will be using in 3d in terms of lighting and vibrancy. I am using alot of painting resources to get that painterly, airbrush feel. I have a character that will be in the scene, modeling that will begin tonight.
I would say between the Horse and the carriage, the carriage was a tougher design. The subject of an advanced horse and carriage was a little absurd. But the challenge was in the design and challenging yourself is key.
